High Tech Gadget Helps With Chronic Pain

A new government approved pain garment called a selitherm is available for relief of chronic pain. A California massage therapist is using this therapy to help ease her carpal tunnel syndrome.

Dr. James Giordano said, "It develops a more uniform warming field which allows deeper penetration. Characteristically, radiofrequency diathermy delivers heat to about three centimeters, perhaps deeper, depending on the tissue."

Note: this cannot be used on people who have any kind of metal implanted into their bodies such as a pacemaker.
