The Horse Massager

Therapeutic massage for horses serves the same functions as the full body massages or specialized therapeutic massage for which humans pay a pretty penny: to ease stiffness and pain to the muscles and ligaments and to hasten the healing of muscular injuries. Since muscles comprise about 60 percent of a horse's body weight, healthy muscles are all the more important.

"It's like an aerobic workout for them. You are manipulating their muscles," adds Saoud, who can usually locate an animal's pain points by the reaction to her touch. "No machinery is used, and there is nothing you can do with this technique that can hurt them."
