Dry Skin Care

Winter wreaks havoc with people's skin. I frequently have clients ask me what they can do about their dry skin. This Ankorage Daily News article covers treatment ideas for even the harshest situations concerning dry skin.

His recommendations include gentle cleansers, humidifiers and the biggest savior of them all, moisturizer.

Senter recommends using a gentle soap that's not anti-bacterial. O'Reilly suggested gentle or non-soap cleansers. Some of her recommendations include products by Cetaphil, Dove, Aveeno, Purpose or Eucerin. Consumers Reports said Jergens Naturals With Aloe and Lanolin and Neutrogena Dry Skin Formula contain moisturizers or extra oil.

Because I wash my hand with anti-bacterial soap so often, I find my skin chaps. My doctor recommended a product with shea butter which has proved beneficial to my hands and wrists.
