Massage-A-Thon Helps Infant
A Marin County massage school is organizing a massage-a-thon to raise money to help an area infant with a rare blood disorder.
At least 35 massage therapists associated with Alive and Well Institute of Conscious BodyWork are donating their time to raise money for 9-month-old Anabella Long, who does not produce blood platelets and has received a blood transfusion every 7-10 days since July.
Web designers have created a Web site so others can follow Anabella's condition, companies such as Rent-A-Parent, Kinko's and Albertsons have pitched in with donations.
