Massage And Olympics Go Hand In Hand

A Connecticut massage therapist has the opportunity to volunteer her services at the Olympic games, again.

Although she has been assigned to the U.S. Table Tennis Team, she will be available for all athletes who wish to have a massage.

"Massage was a part of the Olympics since the beginning," Coroneos said.

"There are just so many benefits to massage." Among these benefits, Coroneos listed increased oxygenation, circulation, hemoglobin; the release of toxins and endorphins, and the decrease of lactic acid. It also is beneficial emotionally, Coroneos said.
