Cervical Disk Injury

A dear client of mine has been having chronic neck pain for years. Their doctor has informed them that they need surgery to address several herniated cervical disks but they are looking for alternatives to surgery.

I've found good general information about herniated cervical disks. However, the Mayo Clinic has the most comprehensive site addressing herniated disks. Though their site in concerned more with lumbar disk problems, much of the information is applicable to the neck region.

My client has been through CT scans, pain medication and epidural injections. Given their severe pain and loss of function I suspect my client's doctor recommendation of surgery is their last hope for pain relief. It's important to note that the longer people wait to get surgery, the less likely the surgery is successful.
