Yoga Move Cleanses Internal Organs

Yoga is a wonderful exercise program that helps maintain strength and flexibility. But it has other benefits for maintaining health in the body. For example, the torso twist cleanses toxins from the internal organs much like wringing out a sponge.

Whenever we twist the body in yoga, blood is squeezed out of the internal organs. When we release the twist, fresh blood flows into the organs.

Twisting the torso also stimulates movement of the fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord (cerebro-spinal fluid). This helps to keep the central nervous system healthy. Maintaining the health of your spine and the central nervous system is key to maintaining the health of your whole body.
