Massage Helps Keep Seniors Healthy

Massage therapy is beneficial to the aging body. Florida, home to one of the large populations of retired Americans, has the more massage therapists per capita than any other state. And for good reason: Massage helps ease arthritis, asthma and bronchitis, injury pain, circulatory problems, depression, insomnia and boosts overall immune function.

"As you get older you get more aches and pains, everyday you have a new one," Dutle said. "But after a massage you feel like a million bucks. Oh it's so relaxing and you forget about all your pain."

"You can live a longer, healthier, and happier life with massage," she said. "It keeps muscles and bones healthy. Massage fights the negative affects of aging."
