Chinese Foot Massage

Green Tea Massage in El Paso, TX has several therapists that were trained in China. They specialize in reflexology, a type of Chinese foot massage where each spot on the bottom of the foot corresponds to an internal organ.

Customers are offered tea and given foot baths in water infused with tea leaves and herbs. The one-hour foot massage involves pounding on the soles of the feet and kneading the toes.

"It felt wonderful. They put a lot of intense pressure on points on my feet. I think reflexology works," she said.

More and more people are accepting of the healing arts coming out of the eastern cultures.

Most people try alternative remedies because of recommendations from family and friends, the board said.

These days, even Starbucks offers green tea.
