Yoga On The Daily Commute
At the main station in Nuremberg, a team of white-clad health instructors boarded a commuter train to Bamberg, much to the bemusement of passengers taking the 45-minute trip.
"Would anyone like a massage, or tips on how to de-stress?" asked Margarethe Reiserer, a physiotherapist. Most zipped up their anoraks and hid behind their papers.
But further down the train in a carriage of 24 pale-looking travellers, she demonstrated shoulder lifts and neck twists before giving hand massages and shoulder rubs.
"I could get used to this," said a teacher, Norbert Gras, 46, digesting the advice he had been given on how to sit properly and where to find his reflex zones. "I didn't know I had any, but now I'll spread the message," he said.
