Yoga An Aid To Weight Loss
A reader asks: I am overweight and would like to know if yoga is something I can do to help with weight loss and conditioning of the body at the same time.
Yoga has the potential to be very transformative on many levels for you, with the physical body being a doorway to the more profound gifts of the practice.
Yoga is a process and should be approached as such.
Yoga is not a quick fix but can be an excellent long-term holistic approach to losing excess weight — and keeping it off. Not only that, yoga creates many other positive changes: improves self-esteem, increases mental focus, reduces stress, promotes flexibility and increases strength and balance.
