Spring Forward

The time changed last night. Did you remember to change your clocks forward by one hour? Combat fatigue by getting to bed a little earlier and drink lots of water. Avoid alcohol and remember that the time on the clock is the time it really is--forget about yesterday.

One Indiana massage therapist relates her experience with the confusion of the time change. Her town is right on the border with Ohio where daylight savings time affected the clocks twice a year, but the Hoosier state didn't comply. Clients coming over the border during the time change arrived at odd times during the time change.

In the past, "springing forward" bounced her and many others into trouble. "I've missed appointments myself. I've had people coming to me at work that have missed appointments because they've forgotten about the time change," McGriff said.

Also, take this opportunity to check the batteries in your smoke detector, clean out closets and stock it with warm weather clothing, and check your heating and cooling system to make sure it is ready for the weather change.
