Tales of the Fall
"Little old ladies oughtn't clank," according to a classic Andy Griffith episode. Well, they shouldn't fall down either, because if they don't break something, then they are sure to strain everything.
That's what happened to one of my clients. On their way to church, they tripped on a tree root and went down on their hands and knees, purse and keys flying. The presented with a bruise on their elbow and a swollen knee.
I performed a full body massage because everything hurt. I figure it's like a mild case of whiplash all over the body. I rubbed just about everywhere to ease the overall achiness, and they got up feeling improved. But when they got moving they reported soreness at the ischial tuberosity attachment of the hamstring and deep low back ache. I'm sure there are more place like those in the deeper muscles that are "talking" today.
I predict they will be feeling much better in about three days. However, if their deeper muscle aches do not improve, I encourage them to return before their next regularly scheduled appointment.
