The Sciences of Body Posture

Australia's The Age newspaper examines the "sciences of body posture," and includes looks at Pilates, physiotherapy, Feldenkrais, Alexander technique and other bodywork modalities that help back problems by addressing posture.

Aside from the manipulative therapies, there are a range of disciplines from dance to rigorous exercise that claim to be able to fix the way we move. The names blur past: Pilates, physiotherapy, Feldenkrais, Alexander technique, yoga, tai chi ... an exhausting if not exhaustive list.
