Posture At Work
Planet Chiropractic examines the effect your posture during the workday has on back pain. Surprisingly, they quote a study that found that sitting slouched backwards caused less back pain than sitting at a 90% angle.
Researchers looked at three postural positions; sitting upright (at 90 degrees), slouching forward, and reclining back (at a 135 degree angle). In the group studied, researchers found the reclining position to be the best of the three.
