Reiki Overview

The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle talks to a local Reiki practitioner about the bodywork modality and his practice.

Carver says stress relief is the primary benefit he has seen of reiki, both for himself and for his clients. Unlike massage, which requires manual stimulation of the skin and musculature, reiki requires little, if any, physical contact.

"What I like most about it, with reiki you stay fully clothed," Carver says. "It's very non-invasive. You can place your hands on the body or a few inches above for aura work."
