Warning: E-mail Scam Targeting Massage Therapists
The Santa Fe New Mexican points out an e-mail scam that is targeting massage therapists.
Bob Hagan, spokesman for the state Regulation and Licensing Department, said the e-mail preys on the misconception that cashier’s checks from banks are as good as cash.
“It’s not cash. It’s a check and is valid only when honored by the issuing bank,” Hagan said.
