Balancing Home and Work as a Massage Therapist
Massage magazine asked massage therapists how they managed to balance their work and home lives. Many responded with valuable tips, here is one of my favorites:
First, I schedule about 90 percent of my appointments while my husband is at work and my daughter is at school. I do have two days where I am off on the weekends. Also, I set aside one day a week where I take evening appointments. That is a time that my husband and daughter do something special together. Clearly state your hours on your brochures and ads; your clients will work around your availability. If you make exceptions, clients come to expect this, and your family can take a back seat.
