Brain Workouts

I have an exam tomorrow, so while I'm making the wheels in my head smoke, you can join me by oiling the wheels in your own head. By exercising five major cognitive functions, you can keep your brain as fit as other parts of you body.

Memory -- several types of memory are at work in the brain and help with reading, reasoning and mental calculations.
Attention -- maintains concentration despite outside distractions and allows focus on several activities at once.
Language -- the ability to recognize, remember, and understand words.
Visual-spacial skills -- analyzing visual information in order to interact with the environment.
Executive function -- logic and reasoning in order to make decisions, build hypothesis, and anticipate possible consequences of actions.

A website called HappyNeuron.com will help you exercise your brain with several fun, interactive games that are free to try out. Maybe if we all get out there and exercise our brain together, there will be a cosmic generator effect that will help me out during my test.
