More Theories About My Low Back Pain

Why is it that when I had an entire month off from school, my low back pain returned? It's not as though I was spending my break doing massages, one of the things I always assumed aggravated my back pain.

So, if that isn't it, what was it? Let's see:

1) I haven't been exercising like I should. In fact, I gave running a break at the end of September and planned to start back again when school started.
2) I don't really have back pain during school, so it must be related to something I'm doing or not doing when I'm studying.
3) It could be a possible flare up of a previous medical condition or a wicked case of PMS.
4) And finally, it could be our wickedly uncomfortable sofa.

Right now, my vote goes to our sofa. Even a good sofa (aka. King Tut's Golden Undies sofa) cannot hold up to an all day marathon of The Wire (the complete series) without beginning to feel uncomfortable. Not only that, the tendency, when we sofa lounge, is to use the worst imaginable posture possible. After all, it wouldn't be a vacation without slouching. But our sofa is NOT ergonomic. If anybody out there knows of a sofa that is ergonomic, please let me know. Oh, and for the husband: please make it large enough to nap on.
