Monitor Your Health

1) Monitor daily the amount of fruits and vegetables, exercise, relaxation and fiber you take in.
2) Are you getting enough sleep?
3) Losing your hair could be due to iron or thyroid deficiency.
4) Check the color of your urine.
5) Monitor your heart rate after exercise.
6) Check your height yearly after age 50.
7) Check your feet daily if you have diabetes.
8) Men: Check yourself for monthly testicular cancer and get checked for prostate cancer yearly.
9) Single-leg stance test checks your risk for falls.
10) Check your blood pressure once every six months.
11) Check your cholesterol once every year.
12) Monitor the pulse in your feet and ankles once every 3 to 6 months.
13) Have yourself or a close companion check you for moles every 2 to 3 months.
14) Check your toenails for fungus or in-grown nails once a month.
15) Women: Do a breast self-exam monthly.
16) Know your BMI (body mass index)
