Beat Jet Lag
What if you decided to coordinate you continuing education course with a bona fide vacation? Are you worried that you wouldn't be able to stay awake enough to get anything out of course? According to research scientists at Harvard Medical School, we have a second "food clock" that we can use to override our circadian rhythm.
Rather than relying on light to determine our sleep/wake cycle, we can fast for 12 - 16 hours. Breaking the fast during your new destination's morning. Make sure you eat a nice healthy breakfast in order to fuel your system for its new day.
It usually takes people a week to fully adjust to a new time zone or sleeping schedule. The neat thing about this second clock is that it can override the main clock ... and you should just flip into that new time zone in one day.
Add to your energy levels by staying hydrated. Cool, clear water will help keep all your body systems lubricated and running smoothly. Avoid stimulants such as caffeine; they simply will make your overtaxed system feel jittery.
