Living With My Type 2

Diabetes has reached epidemic proportions in the US, with more people being diagnosed every year. New patients are getting younger and younger. PBS.org has started a new TV video series for teens diagnosed with diabetes called Living with My Type 2.

Watch real teens living with type 2 diabetes, learn tips from experts, ask questions, and share your stories with a community that can relate. New videos will be added here weekly until February 2010.

Statistic show that people who join support groups, no matter the illness, adhere to treatment therapies more closely, including medications and exercise. Also, they feel like they have a support network which helps reduce their sense of isolation and depression, and improves quality of life.
