Demand For Physical Therapy Growing
According to the Tahlequah Daily Press in Oklahoma, the demand for physical therapy is growing. The need for physical therapists is growing exponentially, and there is a shortage of practitioners in rural areas.
Holly Graber, physical therapist assistant, thinks the demand follows the aging baby boomers, in addition to the advances in orthopedic and neurological surgeries.
Along with good employment prospects and attractive salaries, physical therapy is a very rewarding medical field because, unlike doctors, you spend more time with the patient and develop more of a relationship with them. In that way, physical therapy is similar to massage therapy.
