This Week's Interesting Health-Related DVD Releases - July 3, 2010

Being a physical therapy graduate student, I am always looking for better ways to understand the body's healing processes. The Science of Healing With Dr. Esther Sternberg is a PBS special that examines the brain's role in the healing process, and is a DVD I have had lined up in my Netflix queue for a while, and thankfully can finally watch this weekend.

The only three workout videos look pretty intense, a series of "ultimate conditioning" martial arts exercises.

Kinesio-Taping Techniques in Athletic Training Clinical Practice might be interesting, especially to physical therapists. My curiosity was piqued after seeing many athletes using this tape during the summer Olympics.

Of course, for many people, the closest health-related thing they will watch on television is a drama, for them the thirteenth season of ER
