Water Therapy For Rehabilitation and Fibromyalgia

Water therapy is found to benefit patients recovering from surgery, injury and eases the discomfort of fibromyalgia sufferers where land-based therapies seem too hard on the fragile body.

With water therapy, many patients are able to get back to movement earlier, and with less pain and without stressing the parts that are healing.

Watsu is a sort of Shiatsu massage in the water, a sequence of gentle movements and stretches as you are held in warm water that relaxes your body, resulting in greater flexibility and freedom.

Another added benefit of water therapy for fibromyalgia is that it acts on the lymphatic system to encourage movement of the body's fluid immune system.
